Finding cheska

In the designprojects3 blog you can find interesting links like the one of Finding Cheska, they produce beautiful porcelain products in China. Here the story:

Finding Cheska is an offspring of M2T, an interior/architectural/product design firm from Taipei. Finding Cheska is an effort by M2T to extend its design philosophy to the product industry.
The spirit of Finding Cheska dwells in their ability as a storyteller. In every product that they create there is a story. It might take a form as a Sunday brunch table top, or bedtime lullaby reading chair, or first-day-of-school thinking cap, or summer peach party bowl, or late night sake snack plate, etc. Basically, they take small things in their life and re-examine them thru the eyes of a little child. Are things what they seem to be?
The factories behind the work of Finding Cheska are experienced artisans based in Guangzhou and Taiwan. Each one of them has an extensive portfolio of its expertise. The beautiful craftsmanship behind Finding Cheska is a demonstration of years of practice.

conclution about fish lamp research

In any of the fish lamps of my research i can see special attention in the scale detail of the fish body. There is no relation between light and scales, light and fish form. I can said that their function is more as an sculptural decoration than a lamp product.

This is one of my porpuses in this project. Scales and form related with light aaaaand maybe not sculptural, but beautiful piece of forniture or decoration.

experiments part 1

after taking the first decition of the project (making a lamp), experimentation begun. I started with some different studies of light with the things i can reach at that moment at school. In my mind was the goldfish, the beautiful details of the scales, and the relation between the light and the meaning of the fish for chinese people.

The light fills the fish with gold, with wealth, it`s the goldfish
