Gold SYMBOLS
:
"It flitters like gold" - universally Gold symbolize: brilliance, light, illumination, warmth, spiritual realities
Gold symbolizes wealth - “I struck gold”
Gold has been a measure of value and wealth in numerous cultures, in this particular case, the Chinese Wealth.

The fish represents wealth and prosperity, especially Carps
The actual word in Chinese for fish also translates to “abundance”
Chinese new year dinner includes fish but its not eaten up completely
As the Chinese phrase "may there be surpluses every year"
Sounds the same as "may there be fish every year."
The Carp is founded usually in paintings, drawings, ceramics, and pieces of Chinese ar; specially one type of Carp, THE GOLDFISH

THIRD ACT = GOLD + FISH

Light = Gold Wealth = Fish
Light + Wealth = Goldfish
Light = Product Symbol = Goldfish
Product + Symbol = A Metaphor

FORTH ACT = THE METAPHOR
Product = Light = Gold, Fish = Wealth = symbol, Product + Symbol = metaphor

The light fills the fish with gold, with wealth, it`s the goldfish decorative lamp

FIFTH ACT = THE DETAIL
Drawings, paintings, patterns and figures in Chinese art show the same type of detail in the fish scales.
Please watch the scales in this imagesThe Existent lamps don't show relation between light and scales.

This was a good presentation well done. Now its time to concentrate on the light and the light effect. the starting point is there but it you are designing a light not a sculpture so more experimentation with light please.
